My favorite teacher is my high school English teacher, Phaeton. Back when I was in high school, corporal punishment was the norm. Chinese teachers were mean and all serious, but not Phaeton. He is Canadian. He was and I believe still is crazy fun and humorous. He was also a looker. Young and dashing, he was the whole kit and caboodle. A lot the girl students had a crush on him. In addition to that, he made learning fun. For example, he would never spoon-feed us. Instead, he encouraged us to observe and learn by ourselves. He also taught us critical thinking, which turned out to be extremely useful after I entered college.

1. Review on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/7482163)
Abstract:
Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is a technique applied in artificial intelligence mobile robot for a self-exploration in numerous geographical environment. SLAM becomes fundamental research area in recent days as it promising solution in solving most of problems which related to the self-exploratory oriented artificial intelligence mobile robot field. For example, the capability to explore without any prior knowledge on environment it explores and without any human interference. The unique feature in SLAM is that the process of mapping and localization is done concurrently and recursively. Since SLAM introduction, many SLAM algorithms have been proposed to apply SLAM technique in real practice. The aim of this paper is to provide an insightful review on information background, recent development, feature, implementation and recent issue in SLAM. ros (review) ROS (Robot Operating System) provides libraries and tools to help software developers create robot applications.
